See it for yourself

Two things on this page you can check yourself: what an employer published about the work under its own masthead, and what the clients wrote with their names on it.

Groupon wrote about it, on their own site

Roland led the AI work inside Groupon’s engineering organisation. Groupon published the account of it on their careers site, under his name, as Engineering Director.

A company puts its own name on very little.

The Internet Archive holds three dated copies of that page, so even if the article ever moves, you can still see it was there.

Here is how it opens, in Groupon’s words: “Groupon AI Commercialization Architect Roland Abou Younes shares how he built an AI operating system for an entire engineering organisation using Claude Code — and why the real work of AI adoption is infrastructure, not inspiration.”

The post that is gone

Groupon’s company account also posted about the article on LinkedIn. That post has since been deleted, and LinkedIn lets no archive keep a copy, so a screenshot from April is all that is left of it.

It said:

“What he built wasn’t a tool rollout. It was an operating system… Twelve months later, most of our engineering team rarely writes code by hand. Teams that estimated work in weeks deliver in days.”

What the people who hired him wrote

These are recommendations written on LinkedIn, by name, by people you can look up. Two are clients who paid for the work. One is a senior colleague who watched it happen inside Toptal.

Full captures, untrimmed — each one as it appears on his profile.

The two numbers

Two figures show up on this site. Here is what each one counts.

10×

Eagle Foods can run ten times more campaigns on the same budget, using the marketing tool built for them.

MD Health Pathways can serve eight times the volume, after the platform was rebuilt and scaled.

On anything built from here, we agree the number before the work starts. Write down where it stands today, measure it the same way at the end, and you decide whether it earned its place. A project nobody measured at the start can only be defended, never judged.
